Household chores are an everyday activity requires custom cleaning gloves, between scrubbing the kitchen counter tops, doing the dishes, going down on our hands and knees to clean those hard to reach places. Most of the time, it is expected that we use powerful cleansing suds and strong detergents to help get the job done. Unfortunately most of these detergents have nasty side effects on the skin .
The Most Common Reasons To Use Cleaning Gloves
Everyone knows that rubber gloves are designed for safety and protection. But are you really understand the risks around you at home and that threaten your health directly?
1. The Nasty’s of Cleaning Ingredients
Commercial cleaners contain countless harmful chemicals ranging from serious, or immediate danger, skin irritation, respiratory problems, visual injury, hormonal disruption, or even worse, long-term side effects such as cancer, can occur. To avoid unnecessary contact with these chemicals from entering the body through contact, one thing can help make a barrier using high quality household gloves.
2. Smooth as A Baby’s Bottom
Ever shake someone’s hand and it felt like sandpaper grating at your lustrous skin? Most common factors for rough, dry skin are harsh soaps and the overuse of detergents. These chemicals remove the oil our skin releases, if we continually expose our hands to these harsh soaps, our skin’s natural oils are stripped away causing the body’s natural moisturizing process to be affected. Frequent contact causes our body to respond with rough, dry skin, which can lead to more severe issues like itching, flaking, and cracking.
3. Germs, Go Away!
Imagine this. One day you get up with the most excruciate stomach pain ever; borderline labor pains. You run to the bathroom to have the worst case of watery diarrhea you’ve ever had. Then out of nowhere, you start feeling nauseous and vomit starts shooting out of every hole in your face, uncontrollably. The shivers come now and then a high fever. This keeps on going for the next 48 hours, regrettably. Therefore, you are dehydrated and get hospitalized. Graphic enough? Yuck! These are the symptoms of clostridium difficile. Guess where these tiny microscopic germs sleep in? In your intestines. Clostridium difficile, or c. diff is spread person-to-person and by bathroom fixtures that have been exposed to the germ. Since, c. diff can last a very long time on any surface, it is highly recommended to maintain your private bathroom as clean as possible. Now, after knowing that these nasty bouts of explosive diarrhea can occur, if you encounter these pesky germs, would you clean a bathroom without good household chores gloves?
4. Manicures Can Last
Weekly manicures are always a plus in a woman’s beauty regimen. It’s even better if they would last longer than they normally would, but due to exposure of hard water and harsh soaps nails are weakened. Hard water and harsh soaps cause the nails to bridle and flake, nail polishes to chip away, and cuticles to become soft, possibly letting bacteria and germs enter the nail bed. Utilizing dishwashing gloves improve the time frame for that next scheduled me time.
5. Protect Yourself
Rubber gloves can protect you from possible bodily harm while cleaning. The patterns on the palms and fingertips are there to help enhance the grip when working with soapy water. Most household latex cleaning gloves, like Mr. Cleans: Duel Premium Gloves, have an enhanced embossed gripping pattern on the palm to enable a firm grip. It is much easier to break a plate while washing it without gloves, especially if it’s hard to safely grip. Basically, gloves are aided in safe dishwashing practices specifically while immersing your hands in a sink. Easily, there could be broken glass, or a knife, that’s not visible, at the bottom, of the sink. While, the glove may not protect your hands if you are moving rapidly, you can easily feel for dangerous materials, at the bottom, of the sink cautiously, and have a peace of mind that your gloves are in place to protect you from a poke of a knife, or a cut, from a shard of glass.
6.Cleaning Gloves Kill Food Bacteria
Lastly, even though this is not a physical household chore, but a mommy duty of making sure that the food, our family eats is safe and free of bacteria and germs before cooking. Store bought meats, fruits, and vegetables contain varying degrees of waxes, germs, and bacteria. Using gloves for cleaning food products is a sure way to know that you are not transferring bacteria onto your hands, while jumping from one prepping step to another. Each food cooks properly, at different temperatures, and some temperatures are not reached to safely kill off that surface bacteria: so that I can be sure to produce safe foods, I always wash my food. An example I use often is the cutting board colors, each food group has a color coordinated cutting board to make sure that you don’t cut or clean fish with chicken or vice-versa. I apply this by choosing one color cooking glove for every meat food group.
